Notes

Pho is one of those rare places where eating gluten-free feels completely normal. From the moment we sat down at the Covent Garden branch, the staff immediately asked about allergies and reassured me that almost the entire menu is naturally gluten-free — a huge relief when dining out with coeliac disease.

I ordered the classic beef pho, which arrived steaming hot with rich, deeply flavoured broth, tender beef, rice noodles, and fresh herbs. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and there was zero sense of compromise — this is just how the dish is meant to be.

What really stood out was how confident the staff were. They clearly understand cross-contamination and explained which sauces are safe and which are prepared separately. There’s no awkwardness or uncertainty here, just calm reassurance.

To finish, I had Vietnamese coffee over ice, which was the perfect ending after such a comforting meal.

Overall: Pho is a dream for gluten-free diners — safe, flavourful, and totally stress-free. An absolute go-to when you’re in central London.
