Notes

Visiting Wagamama for a gluten-free meal was such a pleasant surprise. As someone with coeliac disease, eating out can be tricky, but Wagamama made the experience feel easy and relaxed from the start. The staff were really knowledgeable about their gluten-free options and took the time to explain how dishes are prepared separately to avoid cross-contamination.

I decided to try the chicken ramen with rice noodles, which was hearty and full of flavour. The broth was rich and comforting, and the vegetables added a nice freshness. My friend ordered the yaki soba, which they adapted to be gluten-free using rice noodles — you honestly wouldn’t have noticed the difference. Everything tasted freshly cooked, and it was reassuring to see how carefully each order was handled.

For sides, I had edamame with chilli and salt, a simple favourite that never disappoints, and finished with their coconut ice cream, which was light and refreshing after a warm, savoury meal.

Overall, it was a really positive experience — safe, tasty, and relaxed. It’s so nice to be able to enjoy a popular restaurant like Wagamama without the usual stress of wondering what’s safe to eat. I’ll definitely be going back soon!
